RECREATION COORDINATOR

RECREATION COORDINATOR directs or coordinates the activities of entertainment and 
recreation related workers. Duties include collaborating with staff members to plan programs of 
events or schedules of activities; Applying customer feedback to service improvement efforts; 
Furnishing customers with information on events or activities; Informing workers about interests 
or special needs of specific groups; Meeting with managers or other supervisors to stay informed 
of changes affecting operations; Observing workers’ appearance and performance to ensure quality 
service and compliance with specifications; Planning, directing, or supervising recreational and 
entertainment activities led by staff; Resolving customer complaints or problems regarding worker 
performance or attractions; Serving as point of contact between managerial staff and leaders of 
entertainment activities; Supervising subordinate employees. Must work nights and weekends. 
High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of college-level study in sports science, 
exercise science or a related major. $23/HOUR.
