Small, professional bookkeeping office (staff of 6, currently) in Plano, TX, looking for smart self-starter, a well-rounded and experienced bookkeeper. Must have current QuickBooks skills and expertise, with ability to work on multiple types of clients and industries.
Software Skills Required:
Be proficient in both QB Desktop (2016 or newer), at least 5 years; and QB Online, at least 1 year.
Basic Excel skills
Basic Word skills
Uses Windows Operating System
Comfortable in Microsoft Office 365
QuickBooks Duties to Be Performed:
Data-entry of transactions in QuickBooks ("QB.")
Reconcile checking and credit card accounts
Create and enter Journal Entries as needed
Adept at "grossing up" payroll
Able to export reports/General Ledger detail from QB to Excel and manipulate data
Able to add/edit accounts in Chart of Accounts
Set up new Items in QB, including Sales Tax Items
Import banking/credit card transactions into QB from online banking
Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts (loans, payroll taxes, sales tax etc)
General understanding of Fixed Assets (as different from expenses)
Assess P&L and Balance Sheet for potential issues or questions for client
Ability to work on multiple clients' accounts in different industries
Other QB Duties:
Construction industry experience a BIG plus
Job-costing experience a BIG plus.
